Fire resistance of translucent structures installed in buildings and structures is regulated Federal
Law No. 123-F3 of July 22, 2008 "Technical Regulations on Fire Safety Requirements" For various classes
of fire resistant structures with glazing, the law regulates the degree of fire resistance from EIW-15 to
EIW-60. Symbols E, I, W, in notations designate:
E - loss of integrity. Loss of integrity is manifested in the formation of through holes or cracks in structures through which combustion products and/or open flame penetrates into the reverse (unheated) surface;;
I - loss of heat insulating ability. the average temperature on the protected side should not increase more than 140°C above initial temperature , and the maximum - more than 180° in a single point;
W - achievement of the limiting value of the heat flux density at the normalized distance from the unheated surface of the structure. In Russian standards this value is equal to 3.5 kW/sq.m in a distance of 1m from glass surface. It shouldbe noted that European standard EN 13501-2 establishes permissible thermal radiation threshold at 15 kW/m2.
The properties of fire-resistant glass used in fire-resistant structures are normalized by GOST 30826-2014. Fire resistant is tested with accordance to GOST 33000-2014 (Glass and glass products. Fire resistance test method) that based on ISO 834-1:1999 Fire-resistance tests - Elements of building construction - Part 1: General requirements, EN 1363-1:2012 Fire resistance tests - Part 1: General requirements, EN 1363-2:1999 Fire resistance tests - Part 2: Alternative and additional procedures, EN 13501-2:2007 Fire classification of construction products and building elements - Part 2: Classification using data from fire resistance tests, excluding ventilation services.
Production of fire-resistant glass does not require mandatory certification, but Brand Glass Ltd conducts voluntary certification or provides test results by independent laboratories. The production technology of fire-resistant glass in our company requires compliance with the standards of ISO 9001
Fireproof structures with translucent filling require mandatory certification. Currently, there are several hundred certificates for fire protection structures using glass PARAFLAM. They are all available online.
Fire test performed by Brand Glass
history
February 18, 2019 in the test center "START", Moscow conducted certification tests of glasses Brand Glass PARAFLAM EIW-60 24mm thick
On 04 April 2018, in the test center "SZRC TEST", certification tests of glasses were carried out. Brand PARAFLAM EIW-30 20 mm thick
From December 2017 to April 2018, in the test laboratory of the Guardian Glass company in Talheim, Germany, glass samples PARAFLAM were tested. The tests consisted of several cycles 2000 hours each. The samples were placed in a chamber at a temperature of 50 degrees and a humidity of 98% where they were continuously irradiated with a source of ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength range from 280 to 400 nm. The tests showed the compliance of the glass Brand PARAFLAM with the requirements of the standard EN ISO 12543 "Glass in building - Laminated glass and laminated safety glass - Part 4: Test methods for durability " in terms of durability requirements when tested for moisture resistance, temperature resistance and UV resistance.
December 26, 2016 in the test center "SZRC TEST" conducted certification testing of glasses Brand Glass PARAFLAM EIW-90 32mm thick
On February, 2016, the testing laboratory "Pharmstroy RK" conducted glass testing of the Brand Glass PARAFLAM at resistance to hard ultraviolet UV-C with wavelength 260 nm.
February 19, 2016 in the testing laboratory "Fire Certification Company" Certification tests of glass Brand PARAFLAM EIW-60 24mm thick are carried out
November 10, 2015 Customer testing laboratory carried out entrance tests of PARAFLAM for marine application within the framework of the State Contract on Federal Law-275 (State Defense Order).
On July 16, 2015, the Testing Center "Conformity Assessment Center" carried out glass tests with PARAMFLAM EIW-60, 28 mm thick and EIW-30, 22 mm thick.
Previously, during the period of the old Brand Glass project, the following tests were carried out:
February 2013 glass test PARAFLAM EIW-30 and EIW-60 in the test center of Serpukhov Pozhstandart LLC
December 2010 control tests of glass PARAFLAM EIW-60 in the test center Fire audit, Moscow.
March 2010 The Vavilov State Optical Institute conducted tests of the optical properties of glass and UV resistance according to GOST R 51136-2008.
February 2010, the certification tests of glass PARAFLAM EIW-60 according to GOST R 51136-2008 were carried out in the test center of the MOOU RSC "OPYTNOE", Balashikha.
December 2009 Paraflam EIW-30 glass was tested according to GOST R 51136-2008 at the 26th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense, Balashikha
